Stove-Top Latte

3 cups fat free skim or 1% lowfat milk
2 cups regular-strength brewed coffee
cocoa powder or ground cinnamon, optional

Heat milk in a microwave oven or in a small saucepan over the stove just until it starts to steam and a few bubbles appear; don't let it boil.

Divide the coffee and milk equally among three mugs or for a special treat; bowls. (Try cereal bowls; leave at least a half-inch of room at the top, so you won't burn your hands when you pick up the bowl.) Sweeten to taste and dust with optional cocoa powder or cinnamon.

Servings: 3
