People ask me to make this -- not "if it is no trouble" they out and out ask for it ....

I dehydrate my mint for tea. I have mint growing in the back yard -- great plant thrives WELL.

I cut off the stalks and all rinse in water and place on my dehydrator -- you could low bake them too.

Once dry I strip the leaves from the stems (I throw the stems away). I mince up the leaves -- I just crush with my fingers-- and keep them in a jar or ziploc bag.

I have bumper crops of mint, it needs to be cut down before it flowers and once cut it comes back again this can go on all summer!

I use a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea pot.

I put a filter in the basket cut open 4 regular tea bags and pour the tea into the filter basket.

I add 3 LARGE pinches of my dried mint
and a scant 1/4 cup sugar.

Place another filter on top to keep tea and mint from floating into the tea under the filter.

Make tea as per directions on the pot.

Makes 2 quarts
