Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Source: Gold Medal Flour
1 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 egg 1/4 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/4 cups unbleached flour 1/3 cup cocoa 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3 cups quick cooking oats 1 package (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix sugar, butter, egg, water, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched,. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
