New Orleans Toast

Mix equal amounts of brown sugar and butter together until it makes a spreadable paste. Add some finely chopped nuts of your choice (optional). Spread on lightly toasted bread. Put under broiler unit until nice and bubbly. Watch VERY CAREFULLY as it will burn quickly if not careful. You can also substitute cream cheese in place of the butter for an almost maplely flavor.
