Iced Coffee (like Starbucks)
rec.food.cooking/Ellen (SportKite1)/2000

We're three weeks into Iced Coffee season. Got hooked on those little bottles of Starbucks so I figured how hard can it be to duplicate? Well, I've made them with Haagen Daz Vanilla Ice Cream, I've made them with half and half, but guess what, the best results used good old whole milk.

Fill your blender 1/3 way full with leftover cold coffee (use a REALLY good coffee freshly ground).

Add:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

If you like Mocha this is where you add a tablespoon or two of cocoa powder or you can add a little bit of Vanilla, Kahlua or Amaretto if you want to alter the flavor somewhat.

Add milk until you like the color. I prefer a nice deep tan. Blend on high for a minute or two. Chill well. Serve over ice.

It's nice to not be tossing leftover coffee & it's a super pick me up in the afternoon.
