Marinara Sauce
1 cup chopped mushrooms 1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 cup diced zucchini 1/2 cup chopped carrots 3 cloves minced garlic 1 tsp basil 1 tsp marjoram 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp rosemary 3 tbsp olive oil 28 oz canned tomatoes 16 oz tomato sauce 5 1/2 oz tomato paste
In a large saucepan, saute mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, zucchini, carrots, garlic and herbs in oil till onion is translucent.
Add the tomato products, breaking up the whole tomatoes.
Simmer for 30 minutes.
Use in any recipe calling for spaghetti sauce. |
