Bananas Hawaiian
3/4 cup flaked coconut 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup dark rum 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 6 bananas, peeled and sliced 2 qts. vanilla ice cream
Heat coconut in large skillet until toasted; stir to brown evenly. Remove to a sheet of foil; cool.
Add butter, sugar, rum and cinnamon to skillet. Heat until bubbly.
Add bananas and cook until slices are heated through.
Spoon ice cream into serving dishes and spoon hot bananas and juices over. Sprinkle with coconut. Serve at once.
