Dulce Zacatecano (Zacatecano Banana Dessert)
3 large bananas, not too ripe 5 Tablespoons butter 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup heavy sweet cream 1/4 cup dry sherry wine 1 teaspoon vanilla
Peel bananas and slice lengthwise. Saute in butter until golden brown.
Drain on paper and place in a shallow baking dish or pie plate. Sprinkle with a little sugar.
Whip cream, add remaining sugar, wine and vanilla. Pour over bananas, covering them completely.
Chill and serve very cold.
