Chocolate Banana Pie
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1/3 cup melted margarine 6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup milk 3 cups miniature marshmallows 1 (3 oz.) package vanilla pudding mix 1 1/2 cups milk 1/2 cup heavy cream 2 bananas, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine crumbs, nuts and margarine; press into a 9-inch pie pan.
Bake 5 minutes.
Combine chocolate chips, milk and 1 cup of the marshmallows in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until melted; pour into crust. Chill.
Prepare pudding as directed on package, using 1 1 /2 cups milk. Cover with waxed paper and chill thoroughly.
When pudding is thoroughly chilled, whip heavy cream and fold it and the remaining marshmallows into pudding.
Arrange bananas over chocolate layer; pour pudding over bananas. Chill several hours.
Garnish with additional bananas, whipped cream and chocolate pieces, if desired.
Servings: 6-8.
