HARDEE'S BISCUITS
4 cups Martha White self-rising flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. sugar 3/4 cups Crisco vegetable shortening 2 cups buttermilk
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease baking sheets.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and sugar. Add Crisco and mix until flaky. Stir in buttermilk. Mixture will be sticky. Turn on floured board and knead 10 times. Roll out and cut biscuits 1-inch thick. Place on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.
