Cornbread & Sausage Pie with Apples
1 lb. pork sausage 1 package Jiffy cornbread mix plus ingredients called for on box to make cornbread 2 cups sliced apples 1/4 cup or more sugar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Fry sausage, breaking up into small pieces. Drain. Follow directions on corn muffin mix box, adding cooking sausage to muffin mixture. Pour into greased 9" round cake pan. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes. While cornbread bakes, simmer apple slices with sugar until soft. When cornbread is done, spread apples on top & serve hot.
