STRAWBERRY JELLO SURPRISE
PRETZEL CRUST: 2 cups crushed pretzels 3/4 cup butter, melted 3 tablespoons sugar STRAWBERRY TOPPING: 1 (6 oz) pkg strawberry Jello 2 cups boiling water 2 packages (10 oz each) frozen strawberries, thawed CREAM CHEESE LAYER: 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese 1 cup sugar 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
PRETZEL CRUST: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine pretzels, butter and 3 tablespoons sugar. Press in bottom of a 9x13-inch pan; bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
STRAWBERRY TOPPING: Add Jello to boiling water and stir to dissolve; refrigerate. When jello is partially set, add strawberries (sliced if necessary); set aside.
CREAM CHEESE LAYER: Beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar together well. Stir in Cool Whip and spread on cooled crust.
Pour strawberry topping over cheese layer and refrigerate until serving time.
