MEAT ROLLS
1/2 onion, minced Butter and oil 1 pound lean or regular ground beef 1 pound lean ground pork Salt and pepper, to taste 1 can chicken gumbo soup concentrate [do not add water] 2 tablespoons prepared mustard 2 tablespoons catsup 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Viennese small rolls or salad rolls
Over medium heat, brown onion into a little hot butter and oil.
Mix in ground beef and pork; salt and pepper.
When meat is done, mix in chicken gumbo soup concentrate, mustard, catsup, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for approximately 15 minutes, stirring every once in a while, so that mixture does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Cool before stuffing rolls.
Serve, hot or cold. |
