1 stick (1/2 cup) butter 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon pinch of salt
Melt the butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
Add the apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cover and cook for about 12 minutes.
Uncover and cook for about 15 minutes longer or until the apples are tender.
