CHICKEN FRIED STEAK AND GRAVY

4 lb round steak, 1/2-inch thick
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
milk
oil
4 tbsp oil or butter
4 tbsp flour
1 quart milk

Pound round steak to tenderize.

Dip in milk and then flour that has been seasoned with salt & pepper to taste.

Fry steak in deep oil at approximately 375 Degrees F until golden brown.

After steak is done, pour off fat leaving about 4 Tbsp of the oil pan or pour out all oil and add 4 tbsp butter. Add 4 Tbsp flour. Stir until smooth.

Add 1 quart milk. Stir and cook until thickened for steak gravy.
