CHUTNEY-GLAZED CHEESE PATE
6 oz cream cheese, softened 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 3 tbsp dry sherry 3/4 tsp curry powder 1/4 tsp salt TO SERVE: chutney (I recommend raffetto brand chut-nut) 2 scallions, both white and green part finely sliced, optional sesame seed crackers or wheat crackers
Combine the first five ingredients using a food processor.
Spread cheese mixture 1/2 thick on a serving platter (Spread the cheese in the shape of the platter for more attractive presentation; just make sure the depth is close to 1/2 thick.)
Cover and chill until serving time.
At serving time, spread the top of the cheese with chutney. If desired, top with sliced scallions. Serve with crackers.
