NO EGGS WHISKEY PECAN CAKE

*Note the cooking time on this one. Well worth waiting for!

1 cup butter, room temperature
2 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup whiskey (alter the milk and whiskey portions any way you like)
1 quart pecans (1-lb)
1 lb raisins
Add your own favorite spices to suit your taste (e.g; cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc.)

Preheat oven to 275 degrees and grease and flour a tube or bundt pan.

Cream together the butter and sugar.

Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the butter mixture alternately with milk.

Stir in pecans, raisins, and spices. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake for 3-4 hours or until it tests done.

Ice with your favorite caramel icing.
