BOURBON BALLS (CANDY)

Great for the holidays

1 (6-oz) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tbsp white corn syrup
1/2 cup bourbon
1 box vanilla wafers, crushed (2 1/2 cups)
1 cup nuts, finely chopped (your choice)
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Melt chocolate chips over hot, not boiling, water.

Add corn syrup and bourbon.

Combine crushed wafers, nuts, and powdered sugar. Add to chocolate mixture and mix well. Let stand 30 minutes.

Form one inch balls and roll in more powdered sugar or granulated sugar.

Let ripen in covered container for at least several days...the longer, the better.
