Picadillo
1 cup Chorizo 1 pound ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 cup tomatoes, chopped 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 1 bay leaf 1/2 cup raisins pinch of sugar pinch of ground cloves
Place ground beef and chorizo in frying pan and cook until beef starts to brown, mashing down to crumble the meat.
Add onion and garlic. Cook for 4 minutes.
Add tomatoes, vinegar, cinnamon, cumin, sugar, cloves and bay leaf. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Add raisins.
Cook, uncovered, for 10 to 15 minutes.
Can be served as is, or used as a filling for tortillas.
