Strawberry Sorbet
1 package (10 ounces) - frozen sliced California strawberries in syrup, thawed 1/4 cup - water 2 tablespoons - sugar 1/4 cup - orange-flavored liqueur 1 tablespoon - lemon juice
In small saucepan combine strawberries, water and sugar. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
In blender or food processor fitted with metal blade combine strawberry mixture, liqueur and lemon juice; blend until smooth.
Pour into shallow pan; freeze until firm about 1 inch around edges.
Beat smooth.
Return to freezer, freeze firm.
