CLASSIC ALFREDO SAUCE
A classic pasta sauce that is very easy to prepare!
1/2 cup whipping cream 2 tablespoons butter 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Combine cream, butter, and nutmeg in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted (2 to 3 minutes).
Stir in cheese and bacon.
To serve, stir sauce into hot cooked fettuccine, spaghetti, linguine or vermicelli.
Yield: 1 cup
