Classic Fettuccine Alfredo
16 oz Mueller's Fettuccine 1 1/2 cup fresh parmesan cheese, grated 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1/2 teaspoon pepper 2 cloves garlic, minced or 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 cups light cream or half and half, divided salt to taste
Cook and drain pasta according to package directions.
In a large skillet melt butter over medium-low heat; add garlic, saute 1 minute.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups cream; stirring constantly, cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes.
Add fettuccine to skillet. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup cream, cheese, pepper and salt; cook, stirring, 1 minute.
If desired, serve with additional cheese and pepper.
