BROTH SIMMERED RICE Source: Swanson
What a difference one ingredient can make - you will be amazed at the flavor improvement Swanson® Broth makes when you taste rice cooked in broth instead of water.
For simple herb-seasoned rice, sprinkle your favorite herb into the rice-broth mixture while it's simmering. Fresh rosemary, thyme or oregano make delicious additions.
1 can (14 oz.) Swanson® Chicken Broth OR Natural Goodness™ Chicken Broth (1 3/4 cups)* 3/4 cup uncooked regular long-grain white rice
Heat broth in saucepan to a boil. Stir in rice. Cover and cook over low heat 20 min. or until done. Serves 4.
*Also delicious with Swanson® Beef, Vegetable or Seasoned Broths.
