HUNT'S SLOW COOKER BEEF STEW Makes: 6 servings (1 1/2 cups per serving)
The tomato paste instantly adds rich tomato flavor and thickens the stew!
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup) 1 cup baby carrots, (about 8 ounces) 2 cups sliced celery 1 pound red potatoes, scrubbed & cubed 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into chunks 2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) Hunt'sŪ Diced Tomatoes in Juice 1/4 cup water 1 can (6 ounces) Hunt'sŪ Tomato Paste
Place onions evenly over the bottom of 3-1/2 quart or larger slow cooker.
Add the following ingredients in this order: carrots, celery, potatoes, and beef. Sprinkle with thyme.
Pour diced tomatoes and water over the top of beef.
Cover; cook on low setting for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender.
Stir in tomato paste; cover. Cook 10 additional minutes.
