Xiomara's Daiquiri 1/2 cup crushed ice 4 tsp sugar 2 oz light rum (1/4 cup) 1 oz triple sec (2 tbspns) 1/2 cup frozen guanabana pulp see * Note 1/4 cup lime juice 1 x spearmint leaf (or 2 leaves of another mint) Spearmint sprig for garnish Lime slice for garnish
* Note: Guanabana pulp (also known as soursop) is found in the freezer section of Latino markets. Guanabana is a large, white-fleshed fruit that tastes somewhat like a cross between apples and pears.
Blend the ice, sugar, rum, triple sec, guanabana, lime juice and mint leaf in a blender until slushy. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with the spearmint and lime.
