UPSIDE DOWN CHOCOLATE CAKE
1 pkg. devil’s food cake mix (2 layer size) ingredients to make cake batter according to package directions 2 cups miniature marshmallows 2 cups hot water 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup cocoa 1 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
Prepare cake batter according to package instructions.
Place marshmallows in prepared pan.
Mix hot water, brown sugar, and cocoa. Add nuts. Pour over marshmallows. Spoon cake batter over marshmallows and sugar mixture.
Bake 45–50 minutes. Remove from oven and turn out of pan immediately. The marshmallow, cocoa, nut topping bakes under the batter to a chocolate richness.
