COSTATA ALLA PIZZAIOLA (STEAK IN TOMATO SAUCE)
2 lbs. Delmonico or shell steak 1 Tbsp. COLAVITA extra virgin olive oil 3/4 cup tomatoes, peeled/chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 Tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. oregano TO SERVE: fresh chopped parsley salt/pepper
Trim fat from steak.
Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the steak over high heat 3 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and keep hot.
Add tomatoes, garlic, butter, and oregano to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, 10 minutes.
Return the steak and cook over low heat for 5 minutes or desired degree of rareness.
TO SERVE: Sprinkle with parsley, salt and pepper.
