SHELLEY'S MEAT LOAF
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 3 slices bread, torn into small pieces (or 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats) 1 cup milk 1 egg 1 small onion, chopped (about 1/4 cup) 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. rubbed sage 1/8 tsp. garlic powder FOR TOPPING: 1/2 cup catsup, chili sauce or barbecue sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients except catsup. Spread mixture in ungreased loaf pan, 8 1/2x4 1/2x2 1/2 or 9x5x3-inches, or shape into loaf in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Spoon catsup over top.
Bake uncovered in 350 degree F oven 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until done. Remove from pan.
