German Beer Bread

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
4 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1 pint Hofbrau Munchen Hofbrau original beer
1/4 cup melted butter (not margarine)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

Mix first three ingredients in flour sifter and sift into a large mixing bowl.

Add sugar, caraway seed and bier. Stir with by spoon until well mixed. Place batter in prepared pan and pour melted butter over the top.

Bake in 350F degree oven for 50 minutes or golden brown and bread sound hollow when top tapped lightly. Bread will also start to pull away from the edge of the pan when done. Remove from oven and transfer bread from pan onto cooling rack to cool a short while before serving.

Best when served warm with butter.
