Recipe: Kirsch Cocktail

KIRSCH COCKTAIL

Greet your guests at the door with these Oktoberfest cocktails, which are fruity but not too sweet. You can serve them on the rocks in a rocks glass, or ice-cold and sparkling in a stemmed glass.

Ice, if desired
1 part German kirschwasser (a cherry flavored schnapps)
4 parts lemon-lime soda
An orange twist

Place ice in glass, if using a rocks glass. If using a stemmed glass, chill kirschwasser and lemon-lime soda.

Fill glass with ingredients and garnish with twist. Serve immediately.
