ARROZ CATALAN, (RICE CATALUNA STYLE) From: Gladys/PR 10-24-2002
1 tsp olive oil 1 onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves crushed 2 chorizos, sliced 1 chicken cube with achiote-MAGGI 1/4 cup dry sherry 4 cups cooked white rice 2 cups green peas 1 cup chopped cabbage 1 cup cooked white beans, drained Salt and pepper to taste
Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the onion, garlic, and chorizos, until brilliant in color.
Add the chicken cube dissolved in a little water (1/4 cup of water), and the sherry; let it boil.
Add the rice, green peas, cabbage, and white beans; cook for a few minutes.
Adjust the seasonings and serve.
