WHISKEY SOUR SIRLOIN
1 (3 lb) round bone sirloin (about 2-inches thick) 1/3 cup orange juice 1/4 cup whiskey 12 peppercorns 1/3 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 small onion, thinly sliced 1 tsp salt 1 medium orange, thinly sliced
TO MARINADE THE STEAK: Place steak in shallow baking dish.
In small saucepan combine remaining ingredients except the orange. Over low heat, simmer 5 minutes.
Pour over meat, top with orange slices and cover. Refrigerate 4 to 6 hours, turning occasionally.
WHEN READY TO COOK: Remove meat from marinade; grill or broil as desired.
Bring the remaining marinade to boil and simmer 2-3 minutes. Serve with steak.
