SWISS STEAK
1 piece round steak 2 medium onions 2 medium green bell peppers salt and pepper to taste 1 large can whole tomatoes hot cooked rice or noodles (to serve)
Trim the fat from the round steak and cut it into serving size pieces. Brown on both sides in a skillet with a little canola oil.
Peel the onions, wash and clean the peppers. Chop the veggies into bite size pieces.
Put the meat in a single layer in a baking dish, spread the veggies evenly over top of meat. Season as desired.
Chop the tomatoes into bite size pieces and pour juice and all over top of veggies.
Cover dish with foil and cook in 325 degree F oven for about 2 hours, or until meat is tender.
Serve over rice or noodles.
