BRANDY OR KAHLUA BALLS
2 1/2 cups vanilla wafer cookies,* crumbled 1 cup sifted confectioner's sugar (plus more for decorating) 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 1/4 cup brandy or Kahlua 1 cup walnuts or pecans, finely chopped 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
Place cookie crumbs, sugar, cocoa, brandy or Kahlua, nuts and corn syrup in a mixing bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Shape by hand into round balls about 1 inch in diameter. Roll balls in additional confectioner's sugar to coat.
Store in an airtight container for at least one day before serving to allow flavors to mingle.
*This is equivalent to one 7 1/4 ounce box, or about 60 vanilla wafers.
