MAPLE BUTTER-BAKED BOSC PEAR SLICES"Serve these yummy slices with ice cream." 1/4 cup unsalted butter 3 tablespoons maple syrup 4 large Bosc pears, stems on Freshly ground pepper Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook until the butter browns, about 2 minutes. Pour into a large bowl and stir in the maple syrup. Core the pears and cut lengthwise into 1/4-inch slices; toss with the butter mixture to coat. Arrange in a single layer on a sheet pan and sprinkle with pepper to taste. Bake, turning several times, until caramelized to a deep amber color, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes before removing from the pan.
