CRANBERRY SYRUP

1 cup cranberries
2 cups water
2 cups maple syrup
1 cinnamon stick

Boil cranberries in water until soft.

Drain in fine sieve, then mash cranberry pulp through sieve and return juice to pot.

Add maple syrup and cinnamon stick to cranberry pulp. Warm over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.

Serve hot over waffles or pancakes.

Makes 2 1/2 cups
