SPICY SAUSAGE CHEESE BREAD
1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough 1 pound bulk sausage 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 pound Cheddar Cheese, shredded 20 slices jalapeno pepper (seeds removed, if desired) melted butter (optional)
Defrost bread and let rise according to package directions.
Oil two medium loaf pans.
Brown sausage in a skillet. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder; drain and blot with paper towels.
Divide bread dough in half. Roll each piece of bread dough with a rolling pin on floured surface. Sprinkle half of sauce over each piece of dough to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Sprinkle cheese over meat. Place jalapeno slices on cheese if desired. Roll up in cinnamon roll fashion. Fold ends under. Place in loaf pans. Brush with melted butter. Let rise 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake until bread is golden, 30 to 40 minutes. Take bread out of oven, brush with melted butter. Let cool before cutting. Cut into 1 1/2 inch thick slices.
