SAVORY PORK WITH WALNUTS1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 tablespoons
soy sauce, divided use
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup cold water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 cup walnut pieces
Combine pork cubes and 2 tablespoons soy sauce in bowl; set aside.
On plate, combine flour and sugar. Roll pork cubes in flour mixture.
Preheat oil in
electric wok at 350 degrees F/176C. Add half of pork cubes and stir-fry 2-3 minutes or until browned. Push up sides of Wok.
Stir-fry remaining pork. Cover and reduce heat to simmer, cook 10-15 minutes. Push pork up side.
In a small bowl, combine water, cornstarch, and remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Add to wok and stir until thickened.
Add walnuts and stir to combine ingredients. Reduce heat to warm for serving.
