SWEET-HOT STRAWBERRY BBQ SAUCEExcellent on fowl, fish, pork, and beef.
2 cups fresh Michigan strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/3 cup
strawberry preserves1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons
soy sauce1 scallion, minced
1 large clove of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon
cayenne pepper1/2 teaspoon fresh grated lemon zest
Place all ingredients in a
food processor or
blender and puree until smooth.
Makes 2 cups
