BREAD PUDDING IN A DOUBLE BOILER

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3 slices bread, cubed
3 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
salt and cinnamon (to taste)

Grease top of double boiler with butter. Place brown sugar in double boiler, and over that put cubed bread.

Beat eggs, milk, salt and vanilla. Pour over bread cubes. Sprinkle cinnamon over top. Do not stir.

Cook in double boiler for 1 hour.

Servings: 6 to 8
