EGYPTIAN RICE
1 lb ground beef chuck 1 small onion, chopped 2 cans beef consomme 1 cup uncooked rice 1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained 2 to 3 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper to taste TO SERVE: sour cream toasted slivered almonds
Brown ground beef and onion.
Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer until rice is done.
TO SERVE: Put on top a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds.
