CHEESECAKE (APPETIZER PATE)
1 cup crushed plain croutons 3 tbsp margarine melted 1 envelope unflavored gelatin 1/2 cup cold water 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened 1 (8 oz.) pkg. braunschweiger (or liver sausage) 1/4 cup mayonnaise 3 tbsp chopped pimento 2 tbsp grated onion 1 tbsp prepared yellow mustard 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine croutons and margarine; press onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
Soften gelatin in water; stir over low heat until dissolved.
Combine cream cheese and braunschweiger, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Gradually add gelatin. Stir in remaining ingredients until blended; pour over crust. Chill and serve.
