OATMEAL MAPLE SYRUP DROP COOKIES
1 cup maple syrup 1/2 cup shortening 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup milk 1 1/2 cups oats 1/2 cup seedless raisins 1/2 cup nutmeats
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.
Beat syrup, shortening, and egg.
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together and add to the shortening mixture alternately with the milk, mix well. Stir in oats, raisins, and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet, leaving space between them.
Bake in a preheated 375 degree F oven for 15 minutes.
