STRAWBERRY CAKE DELIGHT

1 (2-layer size) box strawberry cake mix (or white or yellow cake mix)
ingredients to prepare cake mix (as listed on box)
1 (16 oz) jar strawberry jam
1 can prepared sour cream frosting
6 fresh strawberries, washed, drained, and sliced
powdered sugar

Prepare and bake cake as directed on package in 2 (8-inch) round pans. Cool cake.

Melt jam in microwave until of a spreading consistency, about 2 minutes at 40% power.

Spread half of the jam on the first layer. Top with the second cake layer and spread the frosting on all sides of the cake. Spread the remaining jam on top of the cake.

Place sliced strawberries on top of the cake. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar. Slice and serve.
