TURKEY SLOPPY JOES
"Spoon this savory filling onto toasted hamburger buns or English muffins for a meal that's deliciously messy. Our kid testers gave it two thumbs up!"
1 lb ground turkey 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/4 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 cup ketchup 1/4 cup water 1 1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp salt 6 buns or English muffins, toasted
Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Saute turkey with onion 8 to 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
Stir in celery, green pepper, ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes, until vegetables are soft and mixture is steaming.
Spoon 1/2 cup of filling into buns. Serve with carrot and celery sticks.
How kids can help: Count out buns; measure veggies.
