QUICK BAKED PASTA FAMILY STYLE3/4 pound penne pasta, uncooked
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3/4 cup marinara sauce
1/2 cup half and half
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 cup grated mozzarella or Swiss cheese (for topping)
Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions.
Heat a large frying pan and add oil, beef and garlic. Saute until the meat is tender and then drain excess fat.
Add all remaining ingredients except the Mozzarella cheese and pasta. Simmer the mixture while pasta cooks until al dente.
Drain pasta and mix it with the sauce. Pour all into a 3 quart baking dish and top with the cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until bubbly hot.
