SHOO FLY CAKE

4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 c. warm water
1 c. baking molasses
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix flour, sugar, and shortening together; reserve 1 cup crumbs. Mix water, molasses and baking soda. Combine the two mixtures; put in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
