HOLIDAY COOKIE BARS
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. oil 2 eggs 2 tbsp. skim milk 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1 1/3 c. raisins 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 2 tbsp. powdered sugar (for topping)
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Oil a 13x9x2 inch pan. Set aside.
Combine brown sugar and oil in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Mix in milk; set aside.
Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, and cloves. Add slowly to creamed mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Spread evenly in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 23-26 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan.
Cut into bars, about 2x1 1/2 inches. Sift powdered sugar over bars.
Makes 3 dozen cookie bars
