BUTTERSCOTCH DIP FOR FRUIT

"Dip an apple wedge into this creamy dip think you are eating a caramel apple!"

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. coconut extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. rum extract

Combine butter and brown sugar in a 3 quart saucepan; cook over medium/low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add sweetened condensed milk; cook over medium/low heat for 6 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in flavorings.

Serve warm with sliced apples.

Note, this creamy dip forms small crystals after cooling. Reheat it over low heat just before serving to dissolve crystals.

Yields 2 1/4 cups
