THE DEPOT CHERRY COBBLER4 ounces butter 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups milk 2 cans (20 oz each) cherry pie filling In 325 degree F oven, melt butter in 9x13 pan. In bowl, mix flour and sugar, and stir in milk until blended. When butter is melted, remove pan from oven and pour batter into butter. DO NOT STIR. Gently spoon pie filling into batter. The Depot Restaurant in Flemingsburg occupies a railroad station that was erected 1908 to service a narrow-gauge line connecting Flemingsburg with Louisville and Nashville Railroad. The last train ran in 1955. The depot was bought by the City of Flemingsburg in 1978 and restored. It was placed on the National Register in 1985.
